Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer ExacTemp IRT 4020 provides an fast and accurate measurement of body temperature in just seconds. This is especially useful in measuring baby body temperature and essential in every home first aid kit. The ear is an excellent site to measure temperature. Braun Thermoscan measures the infrared heat generated by the eardrum and the surrounding tissues. It is more accurate than measuring rectal or temple temperature. The eardrum shares blood supply with the temperature control center in the brain. Therefore temperature changes are reflected more accurately than at other sites. Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer ExacTemp IRT 4020 features a pre-warmed tip that minimizes the cooling effect that could result from the introduction of a cool probe tip.
