Information - Blackmores Flaxseed Oil Caps
Blackmores Flaxseed Oil 1000mg is a source of beneficial omega-3,6, and 9 fatty acids, in particular it is a rich source of omega-3 containing 60% alpha-linolenic acid. Flaxseed is a vegetable source of omega-3 essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), the parent fatty acid of all omega-3 fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The essential fatty acids in flaxseed oil are part of the basic building block of cell membranes and a good source of energy. Flaxseed oil may contribute to the reduction of inflammation by providing a building block of anti-inflammatory biochemicals and by decreasing the inflammatory effects of excess omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid (LA) so abundant in vegetable oils. ALA may also reduce platelet aggregation.
All important for maintaining good heart health Blackmores' Flaxseed Oil 1000mg is: Pure & organic (utilising organic flax); Vegetarian friendly (using vegetarian capsules); High percentage of omega-3's (60%); Cold- pressed.
